Martina Cizkova is originally from the Czech Republic where she obtained a PhD in organic chemistry. After the completion of her studies,she engaged in various postdoctoral projects in France and the UK. A few years ago, she transitioned from academia to industry,currently working as a scientist in Cambridge, still in the field of organic chemistry.
After moving to Cambridge, she wasfortunate to discover Jamyang London Buddhist Centre and to enroll in the Exploring Buddhism Programme. Martina is gratefulfor the opportunity to take part in the Science & Wisdom project which combines her two passions, science and Buddhism.
As a big supporter of the popularization of science, she believes that it is important to make potentially complex ideas moreaccessible to others.
