Transform Lives Through Education: Why This Fundraiser Matters
In September, we launched our online learning course Buddhism & Quantum Physics. This course was the fruition of over a year of hard work, an important course that we deem an invaluable resource for modern science enthusiasts and spiritual seekers keen to explore the nuances of philosophy and science. So, we wanted to make it available to everyone. We decided that we would like to offer a 50% or 100% scholarship to anyone who requests it, on top of giving the course a fair price point.
This worked! So far, we have sponsored 50 scholarships worth around £5,000 and made the course available to 50 additional students, that’s about 20% of the overall sign-ups so far.
Our goal with this fundraiser was to match that £5,000 so that we can continue offering scholarships in 2024 and help us contribute towards ethical education.

A scholarship for my friend… who has been isolated in a small village in Poland…
“I am interested to investigate the possibility of a scholarship for my friend who normally resides in Australia. She has been isolated in a small village in Poland for the last year. She initially travelled to sort out her elderly mother’s affairs. She is now delayed in Poland due to circumstances relating to the death of her father. It looks like being at least another 6 months. She is receiving a pension from Australia but is on a low income. I recently visited and she expressed an interest in doing the online course when I showed her ( I subscribe to your newsletter). I realise that the early bird discount is no longer valid – and would like to make her a gift of the course as she is very isolated and alone where she is living. We are both meditators.”

Born from the vision of the Jamyang Buddhist Centre London, Science & Wisdom LIVE aims to bring scientists and meditation practitioners into enriching dialogues. Our mission is to address societal challenges with a blend of scientific rigour and contemplative wisdom, focusing on themes such as the mind, the ethics of AI, climate change, and mental health.
Expanding Horizons: The Unique Benefits of Our Buddhism & Quantum Physics Course
Quantum physics has been an area of much investigation over recent years and no common theory has yet been agreed upon. This course offers the opportunity to delve into a cutting-edge field of research and explore the overlaps between Buddhism and Quantum Physics, to see if one can provide insight for the other. To explore a groundbreaking field of research, with leading academics, such as Prof Carlo Rovelli and Prof John Dunne, alongside Geshe Tenzin Namdak, resident teacher at Jamyang London Buddhist Centre.
Our course, built upon a pioneering event co-organised with Mind & Life Europe and A Skeptic’s Path to Enlightenment, delves into complex topics without losing sight of their practical applications. Over five enlightening hours of video teachings, coupled with a comprehensive course handbook, special access to our video archive, and downloadable lecture notes, you’ll embark on a transformative journey.
